The purpose of starting this blog is to record my methods in developing trading systems that are unbiased, statistically significant, consistent, and profitable. Why would I share this knowledge? I won't sugar coat this, I want to showcase my ability; but, in addition I hope that someone reading this finds value and maybe avoids some of the mistakes that I have made over the years. It also seems that in order for me to be considered a serious trader I need to be published. What better place to start via social media? Maybe, some of the big names like Stocks and Commodities will reach out to me (hint, intended).
I don't plan on this blog to bring a larger number of readers, but am hopeful to captivate a small number of serious traders. I encourage you to post comments and add me via a number of social networking venues. I want to hear what you are thinking; criticism even if negative is always welcome. You don't have to agree with my opinions, you don't even have to like me.
I don't know about you but for me it seems all you need to do to succeed as a trader is to buy a subscription to one of the many "Holy Grail" trading systems that is offered on the internet. They promise wealth and success with a warning that past results are not indicative to the future. Legal jargon that means do not sue me when you lose all your money. If I sound negative towards trading systems, I am. It is my opinion that most trading systems fail. Probably in the realm of 99.99% of trading systems fail. I am sure that the author of the system has all the right intentions (collecting a paycheck from traders that don't know better). But then again if it was easy, all of us would be rich beyond our wildest dreams. This should discourage you, its meant too. What I am suggesting is somewhat statistically improbable, but not necessarily imposable. I personally have not found my "Holy Grail" and I am fairly sure I will not find it. But I have developed a number of systems that are profitable. And believe that others can also do the same. A word of warning, developing trade systems is not a easy task, it will take a lot of time and effort. There is no short cuts, no easy way around it. You will be wrong, you will make mistakes. But, if you stick with it you can find a system that works for you; both emotionally and financially.
So, lets get to it!! Roll up your selves, brew a pot of coffee and get educated. Follow along and build a system that is right for you.
Cheers,
Aaron Soderstrom
